Can I order sod by the pallet for in store pickup?

Absolutely! We do take pre-orders for pallets of sod. We will accept orders anytime as availability of sod permits. To pre-order your pallet of sod, please call 239-267-1133 and speak with one of our sod experts. Pieces of sod are available on a first come, first served basis.

How Much Does a Pallet of Sod Weigh?

Depending on moisture content a typical pallet of sod can weigh anywhere from 2,500-4,000 pounds. For lighter pallets, a ¾ ton pickup or its equivalent is sufficient. For heavier pallets, a 1 ton pickup or its equivalent is necessary to carry a pallet of sod. When picking up a pallet of sod at the Farm, we will load it with our forklift. Be sure your truck and/or trailer has the capacity to handle the weight of a pallet of sod. As a reminder we are not responsible for damage to your vehicle or trailer due to loading sod.

Do You Offer Installation Services?

Juniper Farms specializes in sod replacement, new installations, and renovations. We do have a minimum of 4 pallet requirement for installs and for remove/replace projects.

Delivery

Juniper Farms will deliver sod for a small fee depending on pallet quantity. We do request a 4-pallet minimum for delivery. Tolls and fuel service charges may apply depending on mileage.

How Much Sod Do I Need?

All Juniper Farms sod pallets are approx. 400 sq feet. Individual pieces of sod are approx. 16”X24” or 2.66 Sq Feet.

How to Calculate Area:

Length x Width = Total Sq. Feet
Take your Total Sq. Footage and divide it by 2.66 to get the approximate number of pieces you’ll need.

Pallet fees:

We do charge a deposit for pallets, which we will kindly return when you return our pallets.
